Marriage

Marriage is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship.
That's a very short and precise definition I've found, but "Marriage" is supposed to be ( according to God's purpose ) a lifetime decision because it's there, I mean, at that moment, that the "institution" called family comes to existence but, nowadays, the marriage is being considered a leisure activity which in the first hard moment they ( the couple ) decide to stop "playing" that "game". Marriage is the first (and main) column of life's base "the family". I got a question that the answer, maybe, answers the current situation lived by our "modern society".

"What happens if, right there, in the very beginning, the family starts existing with its main column destroyed and without any safe base to be put on ?

Some ago I had been looking for a pencilling course so i could improve a little more and, accidentaly I found a course that "changed my art life", the teacher's name is Nelves (see my links on the right) and as my final homework ( the course was online ) I chose this image because everybody else was choosing portraits and thought very interesting the textures , the composition and the light and shade of it. This is the final result, it could be better but the time was quite short ( my fault ).

Skull study

As everybody knows I have studied sculpture ( with Rick Fernandes and Alex Oliver ) and at the ending of every course we ( students ) are supposed to create a sculpture, a kind of final project. I decided to make this sculpture because everybody else, in my class, was making heroes, monsters, creatures, and so forth, and I thought I should do something that hadn't been done a million times before and after all this is the result. I'm not satanist or anything like that but I thought nice putting some candles around the skull to create a mysterious atmosphere only.
